CPE opportunity: "Innocent Spouse Benefits"
With Audrey Patten
When: 1:00 PM - 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 27
Where: Via Zoom
When successful, Innocent Spouse is a significant benefit to the married filing jointly taxpayer. However, getting there is not without jumping several hurdles. There are often differences between the IRS and taxpayer about what satisfies mandated qualifying conditions. Attendees will have a solid foundation to proceed with successful innocent spouse claims.
Attendees will receive one IRS CPE at no cost to MaSEA members. Non-members will pay a $25 registration fee. Participants agree to join the New England Low Income Tax Clinic EA Pro Bono panel. Panelists agree to accept one LITC representation case with the support and guidance of LITC staff, tax attorneys and law professors.
