Joyce Mohr and Terry Durkin will be hosting MaSEA's 2023 Share Shop. Have a sticky issue with a tax return you are preparing? Share your questions with fellow EAs and tax professionals. Listen, share, and discover common problems and creative solutions.

About Our Speakers
Joyce Mohr
Joyce Mohr, EA is the owner of Taxes Plus Corporation, a tax preparation, consulting and representation business physically located in Rockport, Maine but serving clients across the US and the globe. She is a graduate of Boston University. She began her career in tax by managing a retail tax office for a major US tax preparation company where she also taught continuing education classes to tax preparers in areas including international, rental and depreciation. Joyce has also taught Part II of the Special Enrolled Agent Test Preparation course through MaSEA and was a seasonal software quality assurance analyst for a do-it-yourself tax preparation product. She has been an enrolled agent and a member of MaSEA since 2007. She was a member of and has served on the board and nominating committee of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. She has co-founded “Acacia in Kenya” an outreach project that partners in community leaders in Mumias, Western Kenya to empower members of the community with a particular focus on girls and women.
Terry Durkin, EA, MBA
Principal, Durkin Associates Tax Services
Terry Durkin, EA, MBA is the principal of Durkin Associates Tax Services based in Burlington, Massachusetts. She specializes in individual, small business, and trust tax return consultation, preparation and representation. Terry is a past president of MaSEA and NAEA. She currently serves on several NAEA committees and is an instructor with the NAEA Schuldiner/Smollan Leadership Academy (SSLA). Terry also testified before the U.S. Congressional Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access at the hearing titled, Cash Accounting: A Simpler Method for Small Firms.
Terry received her BS degree in applied mathematics with computer science from Yale University and her MBA degree with a concentration in finance from New York University. In her spare time, Terry enjoys golfing.
