1040 Tax Update

With Gregory Zakarian, Beth Logan, Mary Ellen Fillo, Paul Massa, Amit Johar & Scott Franklin

When: December 14, 9AM-4:15PM

Can't make it on December 14? We're doing it all again on January 6 In-Person! Click here.

Where: Via Zoom

Organized and sponsored by the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents, it's the most popular MaSEA education event of the year, with a virtual date in December and an in-person date in January to accommodate your schedule and CPE needs. MaSEA leadership will present the 1040 Update to prepare tax professionals for the upcoming 2023 filing season. Participants will learn the major details of the Inflation Reduction Act, CARES and SECURE Acts, specifically the changes to refundable credits, COVID-related deductions, credits and income deferrals, and IRAs. Topic Materials will be distributed in a PDF format.

The same program is offered before 2023 ends and just as 2024 begins. Attendees will receive 4 hours of IRS-approved CE. The program will also include 2 hours of MA updates granting them 2 hours of NAEA credit.

Every effort is made to make the two programs identical, but anything signed by the President in December is NOT part of the December 14 presentation. Those registering for the December program want a jump start on organizers, tax season preparations and 2023 IRS CE. They may require an additional “New Tax Law Update” to learn all that is necessary for this 2023 filing season. Those who register for the January program will earn 2024 IRS CE and might have access to new tax law updates. Folks are able to register for both programs by paying two fees.

*MaSEA members, please use the email address that was used to create your NAEA membership to ensure that you receive the membership discounted price.*

*NAEA members who are non-MASEA members must include an NAEA number in the registration field or your registration will be cancelled.
